Scavenger hunt, city game, outdoor escape: different names, same idea. You solve puzzles, follow clues, and find out who in your group is secretly good at everything. At EXIT, you pick from three outdoor games: Boller Battle, a bollerwagen gameshow with 9 mini-games. Echoes of Berlin, an app mission through parallel universes. And Escape & Espionage at the Berlin Wall, a spy rally through Cold War history. From €19.50 per person, for 2 to 66 players, in English and German. Berlin is the game board. Your move.
Scavenger hunt: clue leads to clue, station to station, until you crack the final puzzle. You know the format from childhood. Works just as well with adults who can't agree on which way to go at a crossroads.
City rally: same idea, bigger playing field. A whole neighbourhood instead of a garden. Real landmarks instead of notes under flowerpots. Both get you outdoors, moving, and discovering corners of a city you'd normally walk past with headphones in.
Quick overview:
With a classic scavenger hunt, someone spends two evenings writing clues at the kitchen table. With EXIT, you get finished puzzles, a storyline, and a game master or app. You round up the group. We've already solved the rest.
Three games, three directions. A few clues to point you the right way:
Team event or team building → Boller Battle. Up to 36 players, 9 mini-games, a game master keeping score. The competitive streak kicks in by round three. Even in colleagues who swear they don't have one.
Stag or hen party → Boller Battle with a bollerwagen and optional drinks crate. No DIY task cards, no clipboards, no costume requirements. Known from "Die Höhle der Löwen" (Germany's Shark Tank). If you need an argument to convince the group: there's one.
Family with teenagers → Echoes of Berlin. From age 12, at your own pace, with a story about parallel universes that's more engaging than whatever's trending on TikTok. Parents solve alongside, teenagers lead. Or the other way round. Both work.
Nice weather, want to be outside → All three games are fully outdoors. Escape & Espionage is the shortest at 2 hours. Starts at Weinbergspark, leaves room for the rest of the afternoon.
Group activity in English → All three outdoor games run in English and German. No prior knowledge of Berlin needed. The city explains itself along the way.
Known from "Die Höhle der Löwen" (Germany's Shark Tank). 2 to 36 players split into teams, grab bollerwagen (Berlin's traditional handcarts), and compete across 9 mini-games: trivia, dexterity, reaction speed. 3 hours, a game master, start at S+U Friedrichstraße, route through central Berlin.
Optional: drinks crate on the bollerwagen. What starts as a relaxed tour turns into a proper competition by mini-game three. The quietest person in the group will dominate the dexterity rounds. Happens every time.
It's the grown-up evolution of the scavenger hunts you loved as a kid: with a scoreboard, a bollerwagen, and the moment everyone realises they actually want to win.
