FAQs

Any questions?
Here are the answers.

Do you need to be athletic, or is it physically demanding?

No, no athletic feats required. You do not run, climb or clear obstacles, comfortable clothing is entirely enough. What counts is your head, not your fitness.

Which outdoor games does EXIT offer?

Three missions across central Berlin, each with its own character: Echoes of Berlin as a mystery tour (from 21.50 euro pp), Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall as a city rally (from 19.50 euro pp) and Boller Battle Berlin as a handcart game show with nine mini games (from 23.50 euro pp). You play outdoors, and the city itself is part of the puzzles.

Where do the outdoor games start?

Two of the three games start right at our door: Echoes of Berlin and Boller Battle begin and end at Friedrichstrasse 101, 10117 Berlin. Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall starts in Weinbergpark by Rosenthaler Platz underground station.

How long do the outdoor games take?

That depends on the game: Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall takes around 2 hours, while for Echoes of Berlin and Boller Battle you have 3 hours each.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

In light rain you play; to be honest, Berlin shows its most authentic side in a drizzle anyway. In storms or severe weather we offer you free rebooking up to 3 days in advance. When in doubt, just give us a quick call at +49 30 208499070.

What do I need to bring for an outdoor game?

Surprisingly little: at least one smartphone per group, ideally one per person, is enough, and it runs the whole mission. Add comfortable shoes, weatherproof clothing and an appetite for a few kilometres on foot. You can buy drinks along the way or bring your own; no special equipment needed.

What is the minimum age for the outdoor games?

Our outdoor games are tailored to adults and teens. Echoes of Berlin suits ages 14 and up, Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall from age 13. For younger children we rather recommend our indoor family games.

How large can our group be outdoors?

From a small crew to a large group, a lot is possible: Echoes of Berlin and Boller Battle are designed for up to 36 people, Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall for up to 66. It starts from just 2 players. For very large parties we find the right split together.

Do you need prior experience or to know your way around Berlin?

Neither, so relax. You need no local knowledge of Berlin and no athletic preparation either. We bring the routes, or they are part of the game, and you walk at your own pace over around 2 to 3 hours.

Is Boller Battle a scavenger hunt?

Not quite; it is more like the more sociable relative. Boller Battle Berlin is a handcart game show with nine mini games and a team battle, not a classic scavenger hunt with hidden clues. You pull your cart through the city and compete in tasks. The format is known from the German show Die Hoehle der Loewen.

Can I join the outdoor games with a pram or limited mobility?

In principle the outdoor games take you through Berlin on foot; you set your own pace and can pause any time. Whether a route works well with a pram or with limited mobility is something we prefer to clarify with you personally. Just write to enter@exit-game.de.

What is the difference between Boller Battle, Echoes of Berlin and Spy and Escape?

At heart, they are three different moods. Boller Battle is the sociable handcart game show with nine mini games and a team battle, Echoes of Berlin the mystery tour through a parallel Berlin with story depth, and Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall the compact spy rally along the Wall's history.

Are the outdoor games playable in English too?

Yes, all three outdoor games are bookable in German or English. You choose the language easily at booking. You need no local knowledge of Berlin, we bring the routes and clues.

Can we celebrate together at EXIT after the outdoor game?

Very gladly; that is exactly what our Get-Together area at Friedrichstrasse 101 is for: drinks, optional catering and room for a relaxed wind-down. Since Echoes of Berlin and Boller Battle end right at our door anyway, you are already here after the game.

Are there vouchers for the outdoor games?

Yes, and very simply so. Our vouchers are value vouchers for an amount you choose, valid for 3 years and redeemable for almost all games including outdoor. The one exception is Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall.

Which outdoor game suits a stag or hen party?

For a stag or hen do, Boller Battle Berlin is the sociable first choice: a handcart tour with nine mini games and a team battle, easygoing, playful and loud enough for a good party mood. It suits 2 to 36 people and is known from Die Hoehle der Loewen.

Which outdoor game works as a team event or company party?

In principle all three, depending on how your team ticks. Boller Battle delivers the game show experience with competition, Echoes of Berlin appeals to groups who prefer puzzling and story depth, and Escape and Espionage fits more compact time slots.

Which outdoor game suits a family outing?

For a family outing with teens, Echoes of Berlin fits from age 14, Escape and Espionage at the Berlin Wall from 13. Both run independently via the app, so you move through the city entirely at your own pace. For younger children we rather recommend the indoor family games.

Is the EXIT venue accessible?

Our Location in Friedrichstraße has an elevator and a wheelchair-friendly restroom. As for the games: Just write a quick note to enter@exit-game.de and we will find the right solution together.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Drinks and snacks are best enjoyed right here in our lobby, including the Vitamin Well soft drinks and fresh popcorn. For larger groups and events we put together catering on request. For special wishes, just get in touch in advance at enter@exit-game.de.

Are there drinks and snacks on site?

Yes, and we will let slip the highlight right away: fresh popcorn. Alongside it we carry a selection of drinks, for example the Vitamin Well soft drinks. Enjoy snacks and drinks before and after the game in the lobby, and for larger events we also offer catering.

When should we arrive?

Ideally arrive about 15 minutes before your booked start time. That gives you the calm to settle in, stow jackets and bags and take in the briefing without hurry. Then please check in on time at our reception at Friedrichstrasse 101.

How can we pay?

At booking you pay conveniently by PayPal, credit card, GiroPay or Klarna. For larger team events, payment by invoice is possible by arrangement. Drinks and snacks on site are settled by card, cash is unfortunately not available.

How can we pay?

Family outing in Berlin: what suits us?

That depends mainly on the children's ages. In a mixed-age group with teens aged 12 and up, our outdoor games throughout Berlin are a great choice.

Do we play together with other people?

No, you'll be all by yourselves. When you book a mission, it's exclusively yours and your group's for the duration of your booking. You'll never be paired with other players, so you can focus entirely on yourselves and your mission. However, another group may be playing shortly before or after you.

Can I use my phone during the game?

In the indoor rooms, phones stay outside; you stow them safely in a locker beforehand. It is surprisingly freeing: 66 minutes with no notifications at all, just you and the puzzles. With the outdoor games it is the other way round, there you run the mission via your smartphone.

Do we have to be on time?

Yes, we do ask that of you. Check in on time at our reception, ideally 15 minutes early, so the full 66 minutes remain yours. If you are running late, give us a quick call at +49 30 208499070. In case of a delay we may have to deduct a little game time so the group after you can start on time. If a delay means you cannot start or can only partly play, the game price unfortunately cannot be refunded.
